So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him. Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment. (Matthew 9:19-22)
The woman in this story had been bleeding for 12 years straight. She had been to many doctors trying to find out how to fix her rare condition but nothing had helped. Then she heard about a man named Jesus, who healed the sick wherever He went. She believed in Him so much, she said all she needed to do was touch his clothing to be healed.
This is pure confidence; the kind that runs deep and never gives up hope. This woman knew she would be healed by Jesus, and she was.
