Resourceful: Full of Resources

by Carolyn Hope

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

There is a principle in the earth of seed-time and harvest. When a farmer plants a seed, something grows. Whatever is planted will produce its same kind but in greater measure. If someone puts an apple seed in soil and it receives the water and sunlight it needs, it won’t just produce an apple. It will produce an apple tree, which will then bear hundreds and hundreds of apples (which means thousands upon thousands of seeds) in its lifetime. This principle, this reality, is not about duplication; it’s about multiplication.

God is a multiplier. Give Him one specimen, and He’ll create thousands more, all of the same kind yet each unique. Jesus took five loaves of bread and two fish and fed 5,000 people with them. The Father sent Jesus as the ultimate Seed, the firstborn among many sons and daughters.

Whatever you have, whatever you give, whatever you sacrifice, cannot compare to the multiplied blessings you’ll receive in return. You are a part of a family that multiplies. The moment you became a child of the King, you entered into a glorious inheritance. You are a co-heir with Jesus, and you have an abundant amount of resources found in your Father. The King who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and holds the world in the palm of His hand has more than enough for you. There is no need too great for Him to meet. There is no lack too deep for Him to fill. There is no debt too massive for Him to demolish.

You were never called to live an empty, poor, lacking life. You have the right as a prince or princess to make full use of the resources available to you. All you have to do is ask and believe that they are yours.
